Beautiful detail and how you put your memories onto paper without embellishment or exaggeration is refreshing. I remember 9/11, although from the POV of actually being at Ground Zero, first hand accounts are vastly different than those watching and absorbing it on media outlets. I am very impressed with your recollection of how others displayed their emotions, I cannot recall more than shouting and the dust debris everywhere. Your descriptions put me right there with you, in the classroom that day. You've presented your memory very vividly for your readers to reflect or in some cases, experience for the first time, with you.
I am wondering about the use of the hyphen so much? As a reader, I feel it takes a bit for my mind to comprehend what they are to mean and their usage? Its somewhat distracting to see them more than a few times. Other than that, I don't see anything else wrong with your masterpiece.
Thank you and keep up the great work! Feel free to include me as a friend and for more reviews.
