I like this a lot. I found myself in tears by time I was finished reading it, I have felt the torment as your character does. Hopelessness. Wanting to have pain just so I would have something to think about. Scratching my nails against things in hope that they would break is something that I did a lot, I was amused, so to speak, as I watched the blood pour out and drip from my fingertips. Great story, can't wait to see more.
I like this point of view, talking about the abandoned child. Nobody thinks of the abandoned children that often, they're too focused on the rich or the ones that have a home.
Sorry I haven't posted anything, I've been super busy with my college classes.
I really like this! I love how you used both life and death in the poem to contrast each other! You use of imagery gives the reader a sense of scenery that is easy to imagine! I like how you used the jays and the robins, but also you used the porcupine. The way you used animals that fly and animals that scurry on the ground also contrast each other. This is a great poem, I enjoyed reading it! Keep it coming! :)
