I think this has described every experience that I've ever had with painting. I really loved the flow and it was so easy to read. It made me think of when my mother and I painted my bedroom for my sixteenth birthday. It was such a mess, but it was also so very satisfying to finish it ourselves. Thanks for this. :)
The piece was interesting, but I don't understand how the title relates. I didn't even realize I was getting a Jack the Ripper tale, but I'm not upset about that. It was really interesting to read. I like the idea of a sort of Jekyll and Hyde relationship. The ending and the murder itself felt kind of rushed, but you had a max word count to follow so that helps. A bigger build to the scalding of his hands would make it a more exciting read. I didn't see it coming though. Thanks. :)
I've never thought about personifying dreams and ideas. That is a wonderful take on the whole thing. I would love to see more of this world sometime as it has really caught my interest.
I was wondering if the humans actually know they're in the city or if they're only there in their dreams and shake it off as just a dream rather than a real place that they're visiting?
