A good poem expressing that you never truly know one unless you have known the other. It reminds me of one of my favorite quotes, that one cannot truly know hate unless they have first known love.

This poem hits home, all I can say is that it gets better. 5 or 6 years ago, I met the love of my life and things didn't work out and we parted ways. I never forgot him or how he made me feel, but we eventually ran into each other again and I'm more head over heels than I ever was. In time you'll heal and meet someone who will help fill the hole in your chest. I enjoyed your poem and the fast rhythm, it represents the anxiety of heartbreak well.

A beautiful poem with a nice, quick rhythm. It really fits the mood of the poem, which I feel is about finding yourself in depression. Sometimes we lose ourselves so completely to our inner darkness that it takes another person filled with light to blow dust and shadow away from our minds and this poem conveys that really well. I'm glad you found your light.
