What a lovely way to tell your wife and daughter how much you love them. It was nice to hear the birthing experience from the dad's point of view - we women tend to get caught up in our own memories of that day - relishing the telling and retelling of that day and not once do we look over at our husband and ask him to relate his side.
Bravo for you! Your wife and daughter are lucky to have you.
This was so much fun, my son helped me. We can't get two of the answers but that's okay, we enjoyed ourselves. The Tusken Raider question stumped for a minute and then I figured it out.
I absolutely love it! From your unique viewpoint, you accurately depict the subtle differences between the two. I have a favorite line: Dark is knowing you're better. Wow! Couldn't have said it better myself!
I have no idea how old you are, but you brought this 30-something woman right back to her own school days. It was a trip that I remembered with as much agony as you put into the story.
Regardless of your age, you certainly have a gift for writing - keep it up - and enter some contests! You're certainly NOT a geek!
Didn't see it coming! Here I was thinking, yep, that's why I'm not a penny pincher or a miser with my time. You can't take the money with you and family is the only real thing that matters - family is the only true immortality we have. Then Bam! Snuck it in there, didn't you? Threw my train of thought all out of whack and I had to reevaluate the situation.
Very good piece!

Spoken like a true writer. I have but one question - What does writing say about me if I choose to mainly write in the suspense/horror genre? Does that make me a wannabe serial killer? Got to be one to write one, right? Or maybe I just love the thrill of being spooked off the couch at any given moment.
Serial killer, thrill seeker, either way works for me. I have one thing to say in my defense: not all thrillers are without romance and not all horror stories end terribly. I like to mix it up a bit, shake things up and see where the chips fall. I'm an instigator and proud of it!
