I like the way the poem opens, it reminds me of the way I write. So that makes it personal. I guess every poem has it's own perspective. And it goes way beyond the words. I like hard pressed; as if that's the only way to attain silence. And is it fear that stops the gab? Is it the need to connect, (excuse the pun) beyond the need of configuring thought. As if listening can permit the silent spree, the fear of her perhaps knowing your thoughts. I like the power of the words because they are so human. Can any permit that deep personal connection that allows someone to know us so well and not reject us because of who we really are? Good introspection. Thanks.
