I read your info on video games, internet and social skills and you had some good pointers. My views and yours on the topic are similare because i am a tech geek myself and love to be around it. i do myself know that taking breaks from technology can be hard as we do tend to grip more closer to it and could stop the socialization of real life interaction that our mental health side of things need.
I myself as well as certain people around the world prefer to have the socializing around others and the tech as one by making sure unless we have some time before end of the day, go out and make friends or social in a group by finding a activity we love unless we have a job to go to before coming to using video games or internet unless your job role that uses the internet.
Virtual reality headsets are some factors that help your brain learn to socialize with other ways but can be confusing because they trick your brain into thinking this is the real world and you could spend hours on it but you need to control it by taking breaks and knowing virtual worlds are made up.
AI has come to the world now and makes things easier like the new google gemini but that shouldn't stop the real world from socialing how we used to. Yes gemini has some very useful socializing skills out their for people who need it the most but you can always ask a friend to come around if their free for help as friends should.
when it comes to gaming and socializing couch co-op is a great way to keeping your friendship building up even if you don't know how to make friends because in a day centre if you ask someone to play with you who is willing then that can be your friend. You can use online multiplayer for friends but i've been gaming since i was 6 and i know to be very careful with online friends because with party chats they can get weird and could cause trouble in the wrong hands.
