As a husband who is charged to love his wife as Christ loved the church and who consistantly senses that he is falling short in the matter, I turned to your poem to see if I could grasp the matter more solidly. One phrase that particularly stuck out was, "tears of love streaming down His face." It is really a wonder how He could have loved us who treated Him so despicably but how glad I am that he does or else we would have no hope.
I hope that you will visit my portfolio. I would especially invite you to take a look at "Oh the joy of sins forgiven."
Thanks a lot and may our Lord bless you in His work.
This is upbeat. I think think the expression is really good and the word pictures are strong. Good rhymes and arrangement of words. This would be of great help to those who know where to turn in time of trouble. For those who don't I am not sure if they would know how to go about it or maybe the desperation would drive them to it.
I just posted a poem on prayer called "Let Us Pray" and hope that you will take a look at it.
Thank you for your earnest expression. I too have the sense that we are living on borrowed time in this country, that the ax is over our head and it seems that there is less an less holding it back. When I read the prophets I get scared when I look at the corruption of our nation.
We must watch out for our own holiness and pray that God by His Holy Spirit will give a strong message to us and that the people's hearts will be receptive to hear it. I pray that more and more people will listen to your warning.
This poem permits me to walk into a little scene. It starts out casual and bright and light-hearted but then it goes so tragic, but even the tragedy is seen through a boys eyes. It is a curious mix and I wonder how old the author is and how this relates to his experience as we know he lived to tell about it. Thanks for the adventure.
This is hard to rate being that it had to stick to a form, but it is an interesting way to go about presenting it. It is a very quick picture, like the headline of a newspaper.
A creed, but personal. Of the Spirit. Inspiring, enlivening, encouraging. May this Pursuer be ever so active in our day and strenghen His saints to carry out His charge.
