This poem seeks to apply apply a situation in nature to the everyday culture of the human race. I enjoyed the directness of the poem. There were no gray metaphors but instead was meant to directly raise thought in the readers' minds. The organization was neat to as you separated the ideas in two stanzas to signal a change in arguments. Overall, this was a well written poem that provokes the thoughtful side in all of us.
Well done,
Jacob
I really enjoyed this story. The child, Trevor, experiences differing emotions between the contrast of Christmas and his father. Although I was a little lost at one point, the story makes good use of words like "prissy" and "pop". The words bring out the prejudice from its old spot in history. The stereotypes that were prevalent then, are seen clearly here.
Nice story, I like it very much. You use descriptive words and it makes the story sound beautiful. Keep writing. Is there more to this story? Like maybe a prologue about her family? Anyways, well done and come view my poetry at www.ddopoetry.blogspot.com.
I like this poem, it's good. The repetition is a good device and is used well. I am also wondering if you wanted this to be a song or a poem? Because the first and last paragraphs are exactly the same, I see this being more of a song. Anyways, come see my work at www.ddopoetry.blogspot.com.
This is a nice story, well done. A good situation occurs that is an everyday thing. Your characters are well made. You describe the situations perfectly and word choice is great. But I am a poet, so don't take my word for it. Come read my poetry at www.ddopoetry.blogspot.com.
This challenge seems really fun and I cannot wait until it starts. After this, maybe you could think about doing a 12 month blog challenge. If you're up to the marathon. Anyways, I hope you make good prompts for the poetry and I am very excited.
Well done, your poetry is nice. Limericks are so much fun to write and I'm glad that you enjoy them too. Your longer writing must be written well also. I am a poet also and you can read my writing at www.ddopoetry.blogspot.com.
Wow, just an absolutely great story. This reminds me of a poem I wrote for my blog www.ddopoetry.blogspot.com. Anyways, this story does hold some sort of truth in it. Your characters are well developed along with the plot.
What a beautiful poem, I love it. The poem gives a clear main idea and is well worded. The length is perfect. I would love to read more because I am sure they would be great. Come read my poetry at www.ddopoetry.blogspot.com.
Hello, your poems are great. I would love to learn more about the different kind of festivals that are not originally from the United States. Anyways, I am a poet also and have a blog that needs support. If you could, please visit it at www.ddopoetry.blogspot.com.
This is a depressing piece, that I am guessing is a poem. I hope that you do not feel like this. Otherwise, your word choice is pretty good and the shape of the poem looks nice. Try to make some happier poems too :). Come read my poetry at www.ddopoetry.blogpot.com.
Sounds good. I will try to do all of these things. Nice informative column. I love writing.com. The only thing that bugs me is the membership thing. It doesn't seem fair that if I am a free member that I can only put 10 things in my portfolio. Anyways thanks for the tip.
Nice little short story. It was just the right length and it was written very well and satisfying. Do you have anything that is longer? I think that you would be great at writing longer stories. Thank you for letting me read your writing. Feel free to take a look at mine.
