Really good read, it showed the emotions of the characters quite well. I think perhaps you should work on transferring the character’s emotions to the reader- that will take it from good to great. For inspiration, I would listen to “How Could You Leave Us” by NF. It’s a song, sure, but the writing and performance is impeccable, and really personified what I think this piece has the potential to embody.
