I really enjoyed this. It was an easy read and I found myself thinking off a cross in influences of Clancy's "Rainbow 6", Feist's "Riftwar Saga", and the character developement of the old "Doc Savage" series.
I also enjoyed some of the creative tie-ins to current things in our everyday life. Ex. "plascrete" and the use of Emperor in place of God, though some might object to that, but then I reckon they would be upset at the thought of man being around in the 41st century and still having an army of fighting men anyway, so what the heck, go ahead...fight on.
