I have always been really fascinated with this bizarre relationship between madness and creativity , I guess in order to create something you need to go beyond the realms of what is around you , you made some really good points but I believe that all those artists and creators had accepted their eccentricities or sought a place that was far beyond the ideas that ordinary people desired. They were unorthodoxed and like you said showed us worlds or showed us our own world in a way that we couldn't imagine. In the end , unfortunately many like you mentioned in your article get depleted...they drain themselves of everything and create a work of art .
