The power of words can heal someone. In a sense, they are medicines. Your words soothe the world.

Review of Ode to Lesia  Open in new Window.

Here are a few additions to your memorial ceremony speech.

I could feel her breath as if it were mine. Wherever I traveled, she was with me. Her presence made me feel quite comfortable. It was as if we were one. We were thinking the same way.

I felt like I was in a fairy tale when I saw her brother, mother, and father. I wanted to be with them forever. I felt a strong sense of loneliness whenever they missed me.

I felt a deep sense of love even for someone from her village. Even a distant relative of hers meant a great deal to me. I was delighted to hear the name of her hometown as well.

I'm still trying to figure out why I loved her so much. Her genuineness, honesty, innocence, truthfulness, and unconditional love made me feel this way.

She's on every path, stream, wood, and everywhere. Until the end of time, I seek her everywhere and ever.

I think this is funny and veers a little bit toward sarcasm. Although it is short, the poem creates a nice flow. I like how you ended it. It is the second line of the first verse that you have reasoned in the last sentence.

Your writing seems to be a reflection of an exploration of truth and life. You conclude by saying that we should do the right thing, and the rest will follow. I found this to be the most inspirational part as it is a timeless truth.

There is a nice balance between life and nature here. I find it to be simple, clear, and opens up new possibilities for thinking about nature.
