I have to admit that I was drawn to read your piece because of the tag line you provided. Expecting something more literal I was pleased to find this instead!
I really love how you've written this. The dark twisting shadows that are the undercurrent keep you reading until their resolution at the end. The ending did give me a bit of trouble though. You managed to keep the same tone throughout but I thought that the end was a little more obscure and than the rest. You have great imagery but it feels as if there may be one last image waiting to cinch the story at the end. The curtain falls but I feel like I'm waiting for some hint of something to indicate what her final action was.
Well written! I l love the story so far. It's interesting and the characters have feel very real and three dimensional. The idea is fresh too. Where did you get the inspiration to write this story? Also, you did a nice job balancing between detail and general descriptions. unfortunately I'm one of those people who tends towards lots of detail then has to edit a good portion of it out! Well written and I hope that you'll put up the rest of the story!
