As a general rule, I am not a big fan of short stories. There are very few that can grab my interest in the short time span that I am reading them, however I can say that this piece was a wonderful exception. I was stuck to this writing as soon as the woman begged to be brought to the address given instead of the hospital. I was intrigued to find her reasoning, her logic, in not wanting a hospital delivery for her bundle of joy. I love that although it is a short story, you find a lot of character development for the main person. I like that there was enough to make the person seem real though there is truly nothing when it comes to describing the main character himself (assuming the main is a man). No details of looks, gender, or other defining characteristics makes this a great short of a persons experience.
