Beautifully written. Recently I have succumbed to the idea that true love was as impossible to find as the ever-elusive, "sense of self." However, upon reading your poem, I can happily inform you that a sliver of hope may have resurfaced atop this hopeless romantic.
"In a universe of impurity, deception, and permissive distractions,
We boldly race toward the heaven’s colorful, starlit infinity,
Gazing in each other’s delicate, soothed, and compassionate eyes."
I feel such things in dreams. I hope your girlfriend's view of you reflects that of yours on her.
