I like this story. It may be cliche'd, and suffering from early author syndrome, but it is good honest fun. Athenais is a character of universal appeal. The hints and universe backstory are woven in smoothly. The calculated lack of action is clever. However the introduction of the main characters is a bit clunky. I am going to keep an eye on this story, and I would recommend it to any pulp sci fi fan.
