Am I jealous? I think I am. The way you described the different flavours and textures of the chocolates had my mouth watering so much! I almost wish I could be in the main character's place, tasting each of those delicious chocolates. (Although I would've eaten the entirety of the vanilla flavouring, I admit)
Seriously though. Your descriptions were amazing, some of the best I've ever read! And it wasn't the type of description that bores me, oh no. It entranced me, truth be told.
. . . I'm probably going to go hunt down some chocolate to enjoy later, though.
Can I say just how much I love this? I've run across multiple stories similar to this, but instead one of the main characters or someone close to them is terribly twisted and ends murdering one or the other or both.
This, this is nothing like that. It's beautiful, sweet, and adorable, and their affections aren't twisted (I'm a closeted romantic, I can't help it). It's one of those types of thing where extenuating circumstances decided their happy ending wouldn't be so happy, not one where one of the duo's perceptions of a happy ending was twisted.
This is amazing. Absolutely and utterly a m a z i n g.
I can't tell what's creepier. What all Ryan did to try and stop the sound he was hearing, or that I feel like I've been there. Minus being driven nuts by it and trying to stop it. Sometimes when I'm just standing in line for lunch, I'll hear this odd sound, and it sounds like it comes from a specific direction, but I'm never sure where. . . Hehe ^^; In all honesty, my first thought when he mentioned the sound was "maybe he has some odd variation of tinnitus?"
I like the story. Even more so due to the eerie familiarity. It's well written, entertaining, and definitely interesting.
