This is a very good story. It made me cry. I work in a nursing home with dementia and Alzheimer's patients. You hit the nail on the head. I hope you write more, because I was attached to your character in just that short narrative. Aime

A cute, little quirky piece. I can't identify with your rooster at all, my rooster, 'charlie brown' is the nastiest thing you ever saw. He will peck at anything that gets in his way. Hens included. I told my son that is was important to make sure the birds had a lot of water. He asked why. I told him that if they didn't have enough water, the meat wouldn't be moist.

What a touching poem. I love the concept, a big brother saving his little brother from abuse. I only judge poetry by how it sounds in my head and how it makes me feel. This one made me cry.

What a great poem! I am a big fan of rhyming poems. This one just seems to flow and the beats fit together well. And the subject is interesting, the ending is unexpected. I loved it!
