I love this! It actually describes how I'm feeling about someone right now. Therefore it's definitely relatable. I especially connect with the fragility in this. "Why must you hold me in a glove, Like I would shatter into tiny peices" is my favorite. Keep up The good work!
I like this a lot. Its very rewarding for writers/readers like me who appreciate thick imagery. Keep up the good work you are talented in telling the unfortunate.
I am rarely impressed but this piece is magical! Seriously I was hooked by the end of the first stanza, "He converted from one soul crushing addiction to another .Cathlocism." Thay line was perfect . Not only was it gripping but just in those few words we get a glimpse at how hard and painful it was for the main character to grow up under Cathlocism. Secondly , I dont know if this was purposely done or not but the part where she said her and her sister were like two lambs in a world of wolves was great. Simply because lambs were used as sacrifices in the Bible , and them being in a world of wolves symbolizes to me that being Catholic puts them in a place of unfortunate vulnerability . The vulnerablilty to be attacked , hence the wolves and lambs symbolism . That line wouldnt work with any other animal . Lamb is perfect . The only thing that I didnt like about it was the fact that we didnt learn any of the character names expert for Father Rielly . That was the only thing that kept me from giving you a 5 star . Keep up the good work!
I really enjoyed this poem. I love the transition of the main character from depressive to extremely happy. This almost sounds like youve been writing poems for years. I also like how youve explained that this person brings color and joy to the main characters life unlike the others who are blank, expressionless and cold . Very impressive
