I'm not sure what this update form is exactly for, but I have a question I'd like to ask about love poetry. I thought up-beat happy love poetry would be preferred over sad broken heart poetry. However I have been told most people feel that sad brokenhearted love poetry is better.

Is this true?

I like real poetry. Even in heaven said Ferlinghetti, they don't smile all the time. I like to come to a conclusion that is upbeat. Sometimes I write things just for me. Fread my essay, a sixty year old looks at depressing poetry
I like both upbeat and sad poetry. I don't view one as better than the other.
