Welcome! I recommend clicking the tabs to see what is what and where. You're not going to break the site.  I would recommend a couple of things to know, though. If you see a person or item you want to keep track of, click their Plus Sign twice until you see the megaphone. stevengepp  Schnujo's Giving Away GPs  No obligation to click ours, but if you want to...  If you click until you see the megaphone, they will get notified and some people, like me, reward their new fans. And a few people even automatically fan you back.  Clicking once doesn't notify the person that you are trying to keep track of them so they can't reward you. In both cases, you will start seeing their notes on your Newsfeed and they will appear in your list of Favorites. Clicking twice also makes them appear in your list of things/people you have fanned. If you want to fan something like a contest, you have to go actually inside the contest (or whatever else) and in the upper right corner, click the Plus there. If you see the bitem link (big item link) as below...
clicking that Plus Sign only fans the owner, not the actual item. I did that as a newbie.  The 2nd thing is to see what all is going on around the site, I recommend getting on the Community Newsfeed. Your Personal Newsfeed is heavily filtered. It not only filters things based on your rating selection (you selected ASR, a fairly low rating so you won't see much, either way--but it's fine), but it filters out everyone whose Plus you haven't clicked. If you get on the Community Newsfeed, you are still protected with your rating filter, but the people you haven't clicked the Plus of now appear so you can see what they've posted on their Newsfeed.  I find it's a great way to meet people. To get to the Community Newsfeed, click Newsfeed (on the left) to go to your Personal Newsfeed, the default. Then click "View the Community Newsfeed" which you will see written along the top of your Personal Newsfeed. Then you will see what everyone else is writing (within your rating limit). Scroll, Like, comment, and get to know folks. If you find people or items you like, remember to double click their Plus until you see the megaphone. The Community Newsfeed helps you get a better feel for what's going on around the site, IMO. And you can meet new folks. Don't be shy about interacting! That's why they posted their note on their own Newsfeed. |

| Welcome, Creativity in words! Make yourself at home! I recommend you click Newsfeed on the left, then along the top of your Personal Newsfeed, click "View the Community Newsfeed." You'll see lots of people and their notes. Scroll, Like, comment, and start making friends. You can comment on anything you see on the Newsfeed. If you find a person you like, click their Plus Sign twice until you see the megaphone. You will become a fan of theirs and will more easily be able to find them. They will also know you became their fan. Some people, like me, reward their fans. If you find a contest or activity you want to keep track of, fan it as well. But you have to go into the item and click the Plus in the upper right corner...again, preferably twice. If you see links like below...
...if you click the Plus Sign there, you will fan ME, not my challenge or my contest. To fan them, you have to click the link to go inside. Again, welcome!   |
