My friend Scarlett is writing again. Time permitting she has a personal journal type entry describing where she is now. She welcomes feedback. Thanks.

To experienced past participants, how did you select what you will write about? I have 3 stories in mind. Do you choose one outright, or work on a few to see which one gels???

Good topic, something you might include that helps me sometimes. Have you or someone you are close to ever been hurt by intolerance. Replaying something like that in a meditative way. Good luck.
When I was younger, I believed that salvation was a ticket to stay out of hell, which, in a sense, is true. However, the central theme of Jesus' ministry is to love one another as He, and therefore the Father, loves us, which we cannot naturally do on our own. Allowing God's Spirit to take over our will and desires is that narrow road we must travel.

I wrote not long ago on the Lord's Prayer. I prayed it for years without realizing it is a conditional prayer and, therefore, an oath we make: "Father, forgive me for my trespasses AS I forgive others for their trespasses toward me."

Let's redefine or change the expression from "Tolerance," which can be accomplished with disdain, to "Forgiveness." which can only truly be given in love.
I'm reminded of 'forgive but never forget'. Also, as kids, 'he started it' and forced to apologize anyway...grow up hating 'sorry', rather than value of forgiveness.

I tend to have short term memory. A childhood friend recently died, holding an unspoken, lifelong grudge. Can't understand hanging on to anger. At a high school reunion, I started talking to him without realizing he was giving the silent treatment. I was confused. I asked my wife, "Why come to a reunion if not to reunite?"
Quote of the day is from Robert Frost: "In three words, I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life. It goes on."
I invite you to visit the WWW forum for the rest of the story.

Are you addicted to creating books?

Me too. *Laugh* Though I should stop.
My goal today is to note every topic someone posts on today. So far I am out 10K gps for the rose raffle, and have enjoyed commenting on the rest for today, Monday August 19th.

This in response to Lyn's a Witchy Woman who asked in her Blogging with Friends question today, "Write about what you dislike about Mondays." I, for one, have always liked Mondays, a fresh start to a new week where anything is possible.

How do you feel about Mondays?

I like your positive outlook. I too have always welcomed Monday. I have what many Germans have, a dread of Sundays when things are slow and there is not much to do. I like to be busy, so Monday is good for me.
Annette in France - Coincidentally, German is a large part of my heritage!
Annette in France - I dislike Mondays... the beginning of the week, hard if you drink and have a hangover...hardest day of the week to get back in the swing of working... my day is Wednesday, two days before Friday... and less strenuous.
As promised, a little gift for you. He has #1.

Something's Coming

Could be, who knows?
There's somethin' due any day
I will know right away, soon as it shows
It may come cannonballin' down through the sky
Gleam in its eye, bright as a rose

What could it be? I will share when it gets here. *Bigsmile**Hug1**Smile**Hug2*
