Today in my country, we are all celebrating whether we are muslim or not Eid al Fitr , We go to the mosque and celebrate with our friends and fellow countrymen/ women in their cultural heritage. We pray with them, fast and when the day is over break our fast with family and friends of that religion, it's just to show that we love and appreciate you for you. We are one and religion would never divide us. Let's Talk Happy Eid |
I'm not sure if you are aware, but there is a Personal Newsfeed and a Community Newsfeed. When you just click Newsfeed, it automatically takes you to your personal one. Here it shows what you have posted. (You can also see what you've posted if you go to your Notebook--in there you ONLY see what you've posted or what people have specifically posted on your Notebook.) Right now your Notebook and Newsfeed likely look the same because you haven't fanned anyone (but maybe you've favorited them--that is private, so we can't tell). To fan someone, you click their Plus button twice. Schnujo's NOT Doing NaNoWriMo and they get notified you have fanned them. You also appear in their list of folks who have fanned them and they appear in your list of people who you have fanned. If you want to keep this private, you can press the Plus button only once and Favorite them instead. Then no one knows, but I can tell you that some people (like me) will occasionally go through their whole Fans list and reward everyone who is on there. Once or twice a year I send out MBs, GPs, give raffle tickets, something, so unless you have a really good reason to be secretive about it, it might be best to just Fan them by clicking the Plus button twice. (To be continued...I typed too much for the space )
Once on the Community Newsfeed (which is where I found you), you'll have the chance to meet tons of people. Read their Newsfeed notes. Comment. Socialize. Make friends. As you start getting to know people, click their Plus button (preferably twice, but once is good enough) so that you can start to follow them on their Newsfeed and you can respond with Like or Love or whatever and you can comment as appropriate. As people start seeing you more and more, more and more people will click your Plus button, meaning they will start seeing your posts in their Newsfeed. They will also sometimes click yours if you Fan them (remember, they only know if you Fan them by clicking it twice--if you just click it once to make them a Favorite, they'll never know), but not everyone does that.
Anyway, for a writer who wants to get more known (and also wants the chance for some great help and advice), having Fans is really important on here, just like in real life. I hope this has given you some insight an encouraged you to click "View the Community Newsfeed," whether you Fan people or not. Good luck on your journey and again, congratulations!
