To write a good horror story you need something realistic, something that could be happening to you you right now. Someone behind you, in your closet. Under your bed, who knows whats lurking just around the corner. You need to be descriptive, how the warm air is being breathed onto your neck. The seemingly safe house you are in, a couch table or bed you feel truly safe in. You need your reader to know they cant truly be safe. You need to explain how fragile life truly is. The reader must understand that a single cut, a fall. You don't know what people are capable of. Who knows, maybe the very content creators you enjoy could be standing behind you, waiting for his time to strike. People are messed up and the human psyche isn't universal. No one truly knows what hidden meaning could be lying in the simplest of texts, guides or tips. There is true horror out there and you need to draw from it. The line between people and monsters are thin. Unimaginable horror and suffering is hard to imagine. Thats why somone needs to help you experience it. Who knows, after all- Somone could just be waiting, perhaps for you to finish a story. No one knows who may be laying in wait. |
