Today is the big day! After 4 years of writing and revising, my first Young Adult novel, 'Endzone' is finally here!
But don't let the phrase Young Adult fool you. This book is for everyone who loves football but hates what it's become.
12 year old Billy Watkins has loved football his entire life. When a pro player befriends him it seems like his dream has come true. But when that player gets injured, Billy is exposed to the dark side of the game. From drugs and shady deals to the commissioner of the Professional Football Association and his lies, to kneeling players, Billy decides he's had enough and tries to do something about it.

Looking for advance readers/reviewers for my upcoming release, "Fragments of Fear 5". Message me if interested in an advance copy.
Happy WDC Anniversary!! *Balloonp*
Not sure where to start with this. First off, I know I haven't been around much lately, there's several good reasons for that. The biggest of which is that I've been signed by a publisher to release my first crime novel! Their editor and I are about to dive into the manuscript and make it worthy of publication.
Next reason is that I've been working on my self-published horror anthologies. The first of which is currently free of Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/Fragments-Fear-Twenty-terror-thrill/dp/1536927082/ref=sr_...

The second one I just released two days ago.

The third one I hope to have out by Halloween.

At some point I hope to return to WDC in a more active capacity, but for now know that I have greatly appreciated all of your reviews, birthday wishes, and messages.

Thank you all!

I've got it and I'm looking forward to read it when I finish reading of Uzumaki by Junji Ito *Smile*.
:)
Apologies for not being as active or answering emails in a timely manner. More crap at work, coupled with a ton of editing equals not as much free time.
Woo Hoo! I just got my first 'Horror' merit badge! Thanks Angus!
It's interesting to note that sometimes stress breeds creativity and sometimes stress destroys creativity. It all depends on the source of the stress.

Could not agree more. I am finding that school is draining my creativity.
Excellent observation, friend. For me it's mostly the latter, hence my impending hiatus. Normally I'd say it's a mix of stress and relaxation that offers me the most comfortable creative environment. Too stressed out and I forget that I can even write. Too relaxed and I wonder why I'd try to harsh my buzz by writing. It's that's elusive certain ratio of positive and negative that dictates my success :)
.
Come on, people, SCREAMS!!! is an easy one today. You can use any old story from your portfolio. (Double check the rules for SCREAMS!!!) So dig out those golden oldies and enter.

I saw this right before I finally fell asleep this morning. Pretty sure I missed the "deadline" or whatever, but I tossed a story in there anyway. *Laugh* It was actually written for Screams, much like yours was.

Thanks for the head's up, whether it worked or not.
People have asked me where the darkness in my stories comes from.
Days like today are the answer.

I hope you can find some light in your day. I'm sure on dark days you will the hours away - all I can say is, truthfully, one day it will be lighter. Thinking of you *Hug*
My day become as bright as the sun when I walked through the door to greet my family. :)
That's lovely! *Sun* I'm glad it's shining for you.
Big Brother says, 'Entering the Dystopia contest is thoughtcrime. All publications must first be submitted to The Ministry of Truth. Proles in violation will be sent to room 101 for re-education.' :)
