Good morning, Writng.com friends and staff. The world is a better place because we are in it!
I have added a few new items to my portfolio—nothing big, just a few things that caught my attention over the past few days.

One of my favorite pastimes is trying to paint using acrylic paints. I'm not sure what happened, but I have been unable to pick up a paintbrush for almost two years. During the Thanksgiving holidays, I painted two pictures and started my third one this morning.
It is the day after Thanksgiving, and I am well but a little on the not-so-happy side. I am thankful to be alive, but missing my mother a lot today. She died on November 29, 1993, and it still feels like yesterday to me today.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE, AND MAY YOU REMEMBER THOSE WHO ARE LESS FORTUNATE AS YOU GIVE THANKS FOR THIS DAY!
Sitting here thinking that I have not writtenand posted anything recently in my portfolio. I have also neglected to do any reviews for a while. Hmm, I will strive to do better.
I just posted a NEW Mother's Day poem in my portfolio.

I have been excited, perplexed, angry, and confused for several weeks.

Excited: I learned that my first book ever was published!
Book title: Reflections on Life's Punches, by Malinda Miles
Perplexed: I could not figure out how it got published without my final okay.
Angry: I have been unable to contact the publishing company. There are terrible reviews and complaints galore on the BBB site.
Confused: I attempted to order 200 copies and suddenly received a response from a different publishing company that claimed to be the same as the original publishing company.



It has been a week! Finally saw my first book online at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Thriftbooks! Made me smile.

Some days are so busy I lose track of time. Today was one of those days.
Today, Sunday, a great day to rest, renew, rejuvenate, and re-discover the joy of being alive!
Some days, it does not rain, but it makes you wish it had. Today is one of those days for me.
Just had breakfast with three of my nine granddaughters! AWESOME.
Writing is very important in my life. I write from within my emotions. Where do you write from?
