Welcome to WdC! *Hug1**Smile**Hug2*

As for what you can say, the most important thing is the rating you give your items. Note that when you create an item, you give it 2 ratings, the rating for the intro, which is just a sentence talking about what the thing we are about to read is about, and the rating for the actual story we are about to read. Most intros are rated E.

If you are writing about sensitive topics, consider giving a trigger warning at the top of your item. You can give it at the top, then drop down several lines to begin the story or, if you want to look more advanced, you can play with the buttons above the text box.

The big B is for bold. So, you can highlight the words Trigger Warning, then click the B and it won't appear bold until you save the item, but you will see the code tags for bold appear and they look like {b} and {/b}.

Then you can highlight the whole trigger warning and click the rainbow button. That gives you options to change the colors of the text. You can choose red so no one can say they didn't notice it.

Then with that still highlighted, you can click the 3 S's that are getting larger. That increases the font size. I recommend the whole document be 3.5 or 4 because there are so many older adults on here, though many people don't do that. I often have to enlarge my screen, myself.

Anyway, those things can help you prevent complaints from people who might be offended. Your trigger warning, as I describe it, would look like this...

Trigger Warning: This story contains true accounts of incest, physical abuse, and drug use.

Here is what the code looks like, just FYI...

{size:4}{c:lred}{b}Trigger Warning:{/b} This story contains true accounts of incest, physical abuse, and drug use.{/c}{/size}

When saving your item, you can also set it to private so you can write anything you want without concerns about what others will say/think. That, if I recall, is officially the Private for My Eyes Only selection.

Then, I encourage you to go to the Advanced button further down the screen. Click that and then select Rating Requires Review or maybe even No Reviews in the 2nd or 3rd thing down--I forget the name of that section. Sometimes a lazy jerk will go through and give you a bad rating with no feedback. It can be upsetting, so since they don't want to give feedback, this prevents them from bothering you. *Wink*
