I'll try. Once upon a time, I had all the WritingML memorized. It's all a bit overwhelming when you've been (mostly, but never completely) gone for a minute or more. |
Congrats to your new retirement and your reading 18 books. I love to read and love to hold a book in my hand vs. reading from my phone or computer. Sounds like you have had some great successes this year. Blessings, Seabreeze |
Thanks, Seabreeze . Same here, but I've given in and used the Kindle more (I bought it a lovely faux-leather cover so that it almost feels like a real book, but only takes one hand to turn the page and lets me shop for NEW books without leaving the house or waiting on a delivery!) When you read/write a lot for work, it's easy to fall out of a habit of reading fiction. Fortunately, it doesn't take long to get back into it. Now, to get back to writing more of it, again. |
It's been a heck of a month. Car was totaled. (Fortunately, no one was hurt, and the car's been replaced - sooner than planned, but it WAS almost 10 years old.) Just since MONDAY: 60' tree in back yard was totaled by lightning. Electric range, TV, and DSL modem - totaled by lightning. And this afternoon, it's storming again. ::facepalm:: |
Well. Things seem almost back to "normal," or whatever passes for "normal" around here... Meet the new car... and see what's left of the tree (it was a lovely ceremony). |
I'm baaaaaack... (well, technically, I never left) |
Must get to work - leave a message on my wall. Feel free to use spray paint, but do try to ensure that it's soy-based, environmentally friendly, washable, and totally acceptable under whatever ratings guideline applies, these days. ;) Is it my imagination, or have some of the writingML tags change to look less like imperatives? (Thinking b-item for example.) |
You know what would be really cool, The StoryMaster ? As touch-enabled devices and mobile devices are growing in popularity, make the notebook scribblable. (Yeah, I just invented that word - pretty cool, huh?) That is, add touch and scribble support so it looks like a notebook. Okay, there are probably some inherent risks. Maybe the spray paint splat's enough. |
