As with most if not all peoples, I have a long list of war veterans on both my paternal and maternal sides. I wonder sometimes, what the conversations would be if they could all gather in one room to see the results from hundreds of years of life. Especially those that fought on opposite sides of the US civil war.

The earliest mention for my paternal family of military veteran is Guy Swete of Train Manor, Modbery, Devonshire England. He was granted a Coat of Arms, Crest and the Traine Manor itself by King Edward the fourth in 1473.
SWET, SWETE, SWETT COAT OF ARMS (swett-genealogy.com)
"Almost certainly, Guy Swete earned this award by fighting for York in the Wars of the Roses."
Interestingly, by the early 1600's my paternal family (John Isaac Sweet SR (1579-1637) fled England because of persecution by the Church of England. My family at that time were Quakers. The Quakers admonished slavery, fought for equal rights of women and believed there should be no intermediary between God and man. They also were conscientious objectors. He was later granted by the courts to be a "freeman". Which likely meant he had to borrow money for the trip and therefore work to pay off the loan (indentured servant) before he could own property or vote.

Below is a listing of my Paternal Veterans of War

William "of Hunt's Bluff" Sweat, 1732-1783-7th Great Grandfather Patriot
William "of St Peters" Sweat, 1757-1790-6th Great Grandfather Patriot

Reverend William K Sweat, 1812-1881 (Pvt. SC 4th Cavalry and POW), 3rd Great Grandfather**
Henry William Sweatt, 1830 - 1888 (Pvt, SC 4th Cavalry), 2nd Great Grandfather**
**History of the South Carolina 4th Cavalry;

4th South Carolina Cavalry Regiment Confederate Regiments & Batteries * South Carolina The 4th South Carolina Cavalry Regiment lost over 260 men killed, or died of wounds or disease, the most of any South Carolina Cavalry unit.
Hollis Rodell Sweatt, 1929-1998, Cpl, US Airforce WWII, England, Father

I do not have as many details on my maternal side of the family.
Only two.

William H Tyler 1827-1884 Civil War Unit D. 7th Battalion Washington D.C. Infantry my 3rd Great Grandfather

William K Rhine 1904-1964 Sgt 44th Engr Bn USA World War II. My Maternal Grandfather

Note; The back story goes like this.

My Maternal Grandmother, Frances M. Rhine 1910-2004 who worked in the Department of the Navy's budget office for 30 years said William Tyler her great grandfather was a traveling art dealer! Really?

William H Tyler 1827-1884 Civil War Unit D. 7th Battalion Washington D.C. Infantry my 3rd Great Grandfather
During the civil war?

William K. Rhine, 1904-1964 Sgt 44th Engr Bn Arlington Nat. Cemetery Section 43 Site 172.

Additional notes here is Granddaddy Rhine joined the Army when he was just fifteen years old in 1919.
Therefore, he served in both WWI and WWII! I was able to spend a lot of time with him before he passed away from cancer when I was 7 years old. His nickname was "shorty".

He told me, Whenever he would get promoted to Staff Sergeant, he would go out to celebrate, get drunk and get into a fight, then get busted back to Sergeant. He did this because he hated being a Staff Sergeant!

In summary; My maternal 3rd great-grandfather fought for the Union and my paternal great-grandfathers Reverend William K Sweatt (3rd) and Henry W. Sweatt fought for the Confederacy.

I wonder if they could talk today, what would they say? Another kicker is this. Reverend William K and Henry W. were black.

The census says they were black but "considered" white!

My lineage shows none ever owned slaves according to the available census records. At least two of my paternal grandmothers were former slaves. Both William of St Peters and my Reverend William K were married to former slave women. St Peter's Church, which is still there in Beaufort SC, was an outreach to the slaves "back in the day".

Hi WDC,

I just posted this week's, Alter Called Witness Blog #9 by Hollis Frances.

This will be the last blog for the Alter Called Witness. While the findings of my investigation into the Hebrew Zodiac is very interesting, it means nothing in the grand scheme of things. The fact that God has left a “marker” in the heavens, i.e. Makemake, as a reference of His handiwork for us to cling to and believe in all the words of the Bible,
we still must be diligent in the work of bringing God’s love down to this earth to share with others.

For it is His love we share to others that brings them to acknowledge His presence. Not our interpretations of His creation.

May God cause His face to shine on each of you!
God Bless,
Hollis Frances
After about 15-20 seconds, Zee and I both heard a very heavy foot stomp! The sound came from behind and left of our position! Adam didn't hear the foot stomp, for he was "the point" and a few yards ahead of us.

We stayed there another five minutes or so. There were no other interactions for the rest of our trek, which was about two hours. Later on Sunday, on my six-hour drive back home, it suddenly dawned on me: Why didn't I call out? I should have said, "OK, we communicated. Now what? Can you show yourself?" I didn't feel threatened during the incident. It is very strange how excited we were about the experience and yet simply moved on our own. We had no desire to try to traverse off of the path, neither up nor down, for the terrain is quite steep and not cleared like the path we were traveling on. One thing I know for certain, it was a real experience. And I do believe there is something intelligent out there.

By the way, There are many great fishing opportunities at Blackwater Falls State Park. At Pendleton Lake, you can catch bass, bluegill, catfish, and trout.
Please reference "WOW Us Wednesday" for my initial posting.

After returning to camp on the second night of searching, Friday, Oct 4, around 2 AM, I jumped into my sleeping bag and fell fast to sleep. At 3 AM (2:57 AM), I was awakened by a loud call that sounded like the typical Bigfoot sounds you hear on TV! Which was quickly followed by many coyote howls that seemed to last for two or three minutes before quieting down! My heart started racing! I calmed myself by realizing that it all may have simply been a dream to keep me from running around to everyone's tent and waking them up, looking foolish. We met at the Expeditions' Leaders campsite on Saturday at noon anyway. I told myself not to say one word unless someone else brought it up.

Sure enough, Adam, a young man in his thirties, former Marine, and current firefighter, was the first to mention it. However, he did not hear the "call," only the coyotes. Then two young women, also in their thirties, said they were on their way to the bathroom about 3 AM when they both heard the "call"; a wood knock soon followed, and then the coyotes. Then, I mentioned what I heard, adding that I didn't hear a wood-knock. Another young lady, "Zee," is her name, and she mentioned she also heard the "call" and coyotes but not the wood-knock.

I asked one of the investigators, "What is the maximum distance a call can be heard?" He said about a mile has been determined. Using my compass and topographical map, we determined the approximate area from which the activity had come. Adam, Zee, and I volunteered to go there right after the meeting to see what evidence we could find in that area. Everyone else was already scheduled to go to other locations. The activity was located northwest of Pendleton Lake, up on a nearby hill. There is a 3-mile trail located midway up the hill. The first half mile or so is very steep and narrow, but it soon levels out and circles back to the start.

The three of us each had a backpack with food and water. Adam and Zee also had a first aid kit. We had no radio, and I was the only one carrying a walking stick. My watch has GPS capability, but I had no luck getting a fix on our position. About 3/4 of a mile into the hike, each of us heads a wood knock from the direction of the top of the hill!
We stood there silently, amazed for a few minutes, not knowing what to expect next! Then Zee broke the silence when she asked me to respond with a wood knock using my walking stick.

Yesterday, I posted a screenshot of the Starry Night 8 software from 3820 BCE, the first day of the Hebrew month of Tishrei, also known as Yom Teruah, the day Adan was created, the sixth day of creation.

I was taken aback because the only interesting data I could find was when viewing the zodiac from the planet Pluto. Pluto was not visible to ancient astronomers, so I figured Pluto and Uranus would be off-limits as a reference.

This morning, I searched for Kabbalistic Astrology and found that Pluto is actually considered a reference for knowledge!

Please reference the two screenshots below.

Hi WDC,

I just posted the Alter called Witness Blog #8!

https://www.writing.com/main/books/entry_id/1077383-Alter-Called-Witness-Blog-8-...

Here is an excerpt and screenshot.

I’ve wondered if this is where the story of Satan came about, where Satan gathered a group of angels and rebelled against God to take over the throne of heaven.

Interestingly, several constellations are near each other, which seems to relate to the story of Satan.

They are Serpens Caput, Ophiuchus, and Corona Borealis.
These are the Head of the Snake, The Snake Bearer, and the Northern Crown.

If these could be somehow found to be in the sky around the time of creation, how interesting would that be? How can this be even determined?

I first visited the Torah calendar website for a year when Yom Teruah was on a Friday. The year had to be more than 6000 years ago, for the Bible shows a comment from Moses that there would be 120 Jubilees before the end of time. There is a 50-year span between the Jubilee years. I found twenty-four possible years that met my criteria.

Then, I searched forward 6000 years to determine which of those twenty-four years seemed feasible in my estimation as a potential year for creation.

The year 3820 BCE seems the most likely for the creation year for two reasons.
1. On the day before Friday, Yom Teruah, there was a solar eclipse, and the planets seemed to be grouped in proximity to each other, though not in an exact straight line.
2. 6000 years later, in 2180CE, Yom Teruah is also on a Friday!

https://torahcalendar.com/Calendar.asp?YM=Y2180M7

Using the Starry Night 8 software, I first viewed Jerusalem at sunset on Thursday, 3820 BCE, which is the start of the first day of Tishrei.

Then, I changed the ‘view from” location to the planet Pluto.

Below is what I found!

Makemake is in Serpens Caput, and all the other planets referenced for the Hebrew Zodiac are in Ophiuchus, the Serpent Bearer.

For reasons unknown to me, both of the links go to the same year, 2180CE

Please use the link below to get to Torah Calendar year 3820BCE

The year had to be more than 6000 years ago?

Nope Typo

The year had to be less than 6000 years ago!
