I read this article about Dan Brown's writing process this morning and thought I might share. He has some interesting ideas. *Smile*

The only bit I disagree with is, "End every chapter with a cliff-hanger."

The publishers I have dealt with do not like that, and it does feel like it cheapens the cliff-hanger ideal. Sure, it sort of works for him, but it's not something I would say.

The other 12, though, yep. Agree.
S 🤦 Author Icon - Right. I'm not sure how one would fit an "all is lost" moment into a chapter that ends on a cliff-hanger. I can see how ending some chapters like that can help move the story along, though.
