You should probably post a link. Granted, there's not a ton of items in your port, but they aren't going to assume that. To post a link, you need the 7-digit item number, located between the title and description. You also need the curly braces, located above the square brackets on your keyboard. Do NOT use any spaces in WdC code. There are 2 main ways people post links--item and bitem (big item) links. We often use item links on a conversational manner and bitem links when advertising something because they are more eye-catching. {item:2306208} = "Chapter 9 to Chapter 16" {bitem:2306208}
I hope this helps! |
The story is back on track! Thank you to all of the lovely people who commented tips on the last few scribbles! Please do consider checking out any of the other sites I upload to as well! They are all linked on the website I made which is linked in my Bio. Have A Great Day! PS: The next chapter upload is tomorrow! |
Thank you everyone for the wonderful help on the problem my story is meeting on this site. When I have free time to go through it all, I will do my best to get everything sorted out for you lovely people. Have a great day full of reading in the meantime! |
This is a little different because I'm doing "October Novel Prep Challenge" , but you can see how I'm putting a lot of different things in the same item. It's not finished, so don't pay so much attention to that part. Just focus on how I have everything neatly stored in dropnotes and could easily have them marked as chapters instead of days of assignments. Here's what I'm working on. "Nickel -- 2023 NaNo Project" |
I no longer have any space on this account to post my story, so please go to the link below and get involved in the story. Enjoy your reading! https://sites.google.com/view/testingforhope/home |
Another alternative to Schnujo's Doing NaNoWriMo? 's suggestion is to put several chapters in one item and create "locations" at your chapter headings. The reason we're suggesting this is that your chapters are very short (under 5kb) and a free account gives you up to 50kb space in a static item. You could put as many as 8 of your chapters in one item and still have room left over - that's room for 80 at least 80 chapters in your portfolio. So you could have an item Chapters 1-6 (or "Part 1"), use the location tag like so {location:Chapter_One}, and at the top of the item put a list of links with the tags {x-link:#Chapter_One}Chapter One{/x-link}. If you take a look at The Contest Challenge you can see these tags and links working in practice. |
Tileira's referring to you being able to see my tags at the top of "The Contest Challenge" that allow you to click lines at the top of the page to jump to the contests, forum, etc. further down the page. That is another good idea! |
