Nyah, im starting work soon again😭😅...I wish I was more active here to participate in all these awesome contest, but i'm going to try my best to spearhead through and have fun and learn with you all! 🌟Question Adventure Time!🌟 You wander into a abandoned house, each step you take creaks the hardwood floor. Strange cracking sounds come from the upper floors, so you creep up the stairs. In the corner of the dark room is a table with one candle illuminating that little spot. You carefully walk closer. You see a deck of cards, it's landscape paintings move endlessly with tints of holographic glitter spread throughout. Each card represents a different realm you could travel through. Which card do you touch to journey to another realm, and what would you do once you arrive? ( Write a short sentence or a whole page. fantastical, scientific or reality based or something completely out of the box. Its all up to you, and all answers -or questions- are valid! ~🌼💫-Have fun!-🌟🌺 ~) |
There are innate flaws with this proposition. 1. I don't wander into abandoned houses. Actually, scratch that. When looking at properties who haven't paid there taxes, I've done that. 2. "Strange cracking sounds come from the upper floors, so you creep up the stairs." I have not and am fairly sure I would not do that. Strange sounds of any sort coming from upstairs in an abandoned place clearly means you need to abandon the place. Wild animals? Wild people? Ghosts? None of those options seem like something I want to run into. IF I lost my mind (not a stretch to imagine) and I decided to do this (much more of a stretch ), I would choose an open forest with a lake to wander around. |
What does it mean to be free? Does freedom exist, is it fiction or is something we have to create? |

Welcome to WdC! I hope you find some amazing people and pieces here! Be sure to check out the Community Newsfeed, not just your Personal Newsfeed, which is the default when you click "Newsfeed." On your Personal Newsfeed, along the top, you will see "View the Community Newsfeed." Click that and you will see what EVERYONE is posting, not just official WdC stuff and things posted by people whose Plus Sign you have clicked. On the Community Newsfeed, don't be shy. Click Like, comment, and start making friends. And definitely click through to find people and activities you'll enjoy. Though do note that when you click a Plus on a bitem (big item) format, you will be favoriting or fanning the person, not the activity. To favorite or fan the activity, go to the actual activity and click the Plus in the upper right corner.
Clicking the Plus Sign after my name will favorite or fan me, not my challenge. Also, 1 click will favorite the person or activity. That's private and you will see a finger with a string. If you click twice, you will see the megaphone and you have fanned them. They are notified and some (like me) will reward you or fan you back. I always recommend clicking twice. |
You've chosen a great time to get started, Dream Froggy ! Next week starts a especially exciting and busy month on WdC - we're celebrating the site's 22nd Anniversary! Time to get hoppin! (I'm sorry, I couldn't help it, I did try to resist ) |
The first thing that comes to mind when you say fast-paced is Thinner by Stephen King. I just started reading him, and, in three words, Wow, what even?!
It's not mystery, but I really enjoyed The Nightlord series by Garon Whited. I also loved The Good Guys series by Eric Ugland. He has The Bad Guys series as well, but I haven't gotten to that one yet. I listen to a fair amount of fantasy and some mystery, but apparently not a lot of the two together.
