If you have androgynous features and tend to wear clothes the opposite gender also wears, and are also sensitive about your gender, don't go into a kindergarten classroom.

"Are you a girl or a boy?"
"Girl."
"Really?!"
"Some girls can have short hair and some boys have long hair."
"Ohhhhhh."

***later, different child***

"Are you a girl or a boy?"
"Girl."
"I think you look like a BOY!"
"Okay."

I love kindergartners.
Oh, darn. It seems I completed my own challenge a little too quickly. Well, challenge still open, but this poem's off the table. *Wink*

SILENCE

by Edgar Allan Poe

There are some qualities--some incorporate things,
That have a double life, which thus is made
A type of that twin entity which springs
From matter and light, evinced in solid and shade.
There is a twofold Silence--sea and shore--
Body and soul. One dwells in lonely places,
Newly with grass o'ergrown; some solemn graces,
Some human memories and tearful lore,
Render him terrorless: his name's "No More."
He is the corporate Silence: dread him not!
No power hath he of evil in himself;
But should some urgent fate (untimely lot!)
Bring thee to meet his shadow (nameless elf,
That haunteth the lone regions where hath trod
No foot of man), commend thyself to God!

----------

THE FORCE

There are some qualities-- some incorporate things,
That have a double life, which thus is made
A type of that twin entity which springs
From matter and light, evinced in solid and shade.
There is a twofold Force-- Dark and Light-
Good and evil. One dwells in lonely places,
In Dagobah o'ergrown; some solemn graces,
Some Jedi memories and tearful lore,
Render him terrorless: his name's Yoda.
He is light side of the Force: dread him not!
No power hath he of evil in himself
But should some urgent fate (untimely lot!)
Bring thee to meet this master (green elf,
That haunteth the lone regions where hath trod
No foot of Sith), there is no try, do or do not!

is this in your port so we can review them?
Absolutely not in my port. Good grief, this stuff probably falls under fanfiction and I am way, way, WAY too proud to actually admit to writing fanfiction. This, is, um, a fleeting fancy. Yeah.
well.....sort of fan fiction, but with class and style of the masters. So....I don't think it really qualifies as fan fiction.
Part 4. Don't hurt me. Join me. Join the Poe side of the Force!

Gaily bedight
A Jedi Knight
In Tatooine and in Hoth
Had journeyed long,
Singing a song,
In search of a Jedi Master.

Be he grew old -
This Knight so bold -
And o'er his heart a shadow
Fell as he found
No spot of ground
That held a Jedi Master.

I love it, now where's the rest?
Goodness, Linn, finishing the entire poem would take work. Work is for other people. *Bigsmile*
