I am walking a lot better since my surgery and I am sure glad for a nice hot bath and lot of ice. I am having problems with trying to get what I have in my mind down on paper.
Took the bandage off my knee today and I will be taking a shower. The dog is getting a haircut today. He is going to look so cute when he comes home.
Yesterday I went to the Bay surgery and endoscopy center and registered. Had to wait a few minutes for someone to call me back to the surgery unit. They checked my blood pressure, my blood sugar, my coagulation levels. They put an IV in my right hand, for the antitheists to use. They put a collar around my left leg to prevent blood clotting, They gave me a sedative to relax me. I don't remember when they came to get me and roll me down to surgery, I do remember sliding over to the surgery table, I don't remember waking up in Recovery. I was in my cubicle when I woke up completely. The doctor took a scope and looked underneath my knee cap and saw a tear in the Hibiscus(the cushion between the two bones that make up the joint) And took a piece out. I have been sitting on the couch with ice on my knee and I have got up and went to the bathroom a couple of times.
Tomorrow I go in the hospital to have an orthopedic surgeon take tiny camera and look under my right knee cap and see what is going on there. It will take a couple of hours and then I can go home and sleep the rest of the day.
I'm getting prepared for a wedding that will take place on may 24th. I have my dress, my shoes, my hat, my bouquet, the rings are just waiting to be used, we have the hotel room reserved, someone to take our wedding pictures. It will be a giant step for me as for my husband to be.
