There's no reason for you to not publish them, because people are sure to adore them if you do  You should be proud of who you are and what you've created  I hope that we'll get to see a whole lot more of you on this site! | Just in case anyone is curious, I am currently working on my second true book attempt. I did write a couple of stories when I was younger but they aren't much to look at right now. I have the first four chapters of my first book up for review. I know that the book needs a lot of work to bring the story together so any helpful reviews are welcome. There's nothing you can say that will offend or discourage me, I promise. After I finish book two, I will be revisiting book one, armed with all of the suggestions made by the people who have reviewed those chapters. Once I revise them, I will edit the chapters here and put them back up for review. Maybe, one day in the future, I will have both books, and maybe even the third and fourth that clutter my mind, ready to send to editors to try to publish them. |
  Welcome to WDC Christianna! Congrats on posting your first items. I recall my first entry here in fear and trembling!  You have come to the right place as there are kind and helpful authors of all kinds and experience. We all try to help each other along and tend to grow and improve a long the way. No need to be worried. Expression is the key.... and points of view are many. We all take what fits our heart and leave the rest. I do poetry too and there are many kinds from free style to form and structure. The more I read the more I learn. And reviewing is fun as you see so many different expressions.  If you want to learn in a fun way, some of the many forms, or just meet some poets and look at a whole bunch of resources check out: "The Poet's Place "  It is all voluntary.   There are poetry contests too---that are fun to try out....and get feedback. I have one right now on dragons.
