| EXPERIENCE A SPIRITUAL CONNECTION AT THE WESTERN WALL Dear friends, In this world, there exists a place that serves as its spiritual center—the Western Wall, also known as the Kotel HaMa'aravi. Located in Jerusalem, this sacred site is the last remnant of the Second Temple and holds deep significance for people of faith worldwide. When visiting such a holy place as the Western Wall, it’s vital to align your heart and soul with the spiritual energy of this location. Meditation and prayer will help you open your mind to the divine presence felt here. Over 15 years ago, with God’s help, I developed a meditation and prayer, which I now share with you. MEDITATION AT THE WESTERN WALL Prepare: Before approaching the Wall, find a quiet spot. Close your eyes, take deep breaths, and focus on your breathing. Let go of distractions. Attune to the Energy: Picture the Wall’s spiritual energy flowing into your body, from the top of your head to your toes. Connect with the Universe: Silently say to yourself, “I am open to the energy of the universe. I accept its blessings.” Visualize divine light filling you with peace and strength. Release Worries: Imagine the universe lifting your concerns. Say, “I trust the universe to guide and protect me.” Gratitude: Spend a few minutes feeling grateful to be in this sacred place. Sense your connection to the universe. PRAYER AT THE WESTERN WALL "Ribono Shel Olam, Elohai Shaddai, El Chai, standing before this holy Wall, I open my heart and soul before You. Fill me with Your strength and light. I trust You with my worries and ask You to guide me on the path of truth and righteousness. May the universe watch over me and protect me. Amen." You may also read Psalm 121 or Psalm 91, traditionally recited for protection and support. By engaging in this meditation and prayer, you can deepen your spiritual experience at this holy site. Karma: Individual and Collective Individual and Collective Rewards Our deeds affect our lives and the communities to which we belong, reflecting the concept of karmic influence. In Kabbalah, גמול (Gmul) refers to the results of our deeds, both positive (שכר, Shar) and negative (עונש, Onesh). For simplicity, we call this "karma". Each person's actions, emotions, thoughts and speech form their personal karma. Even a neutral attitude leaves its mark, reinforcing certain qualities in a person. How does collective karma affect a person's destiny? Any group, be it family, friends, coworkers, or government, affects the karma of its members. Simply belonging to a group predisposes a person to its collective karmic processes. A person can change this predisposition through constant conscious reflection and willpower. Without these efforts, the collective karma manifests to its fullest extent, causing the individual to experience consequences similar to the collective karma of the community. At a basic level, these spiritual laws manifest in family relationships. Ancestral karma influences descendants by forming predispositions. Strong family karma, both positive and negative, is difficult to get rid of. It takes constant awareness and strong personal will to challenge seemingly obvious norms and act differently. The Torah, Talmud and Kabbalistic sources such as the Zohar and the writings of the Arizal emphasize the law of similarity: spiritual entities with similar qualities merge into a whole. Conversely, if a part of an entity acquires different qualities, it splits into a new entity. If we apply this principle, our actions, emotions, thoughts, and speech corresponding to the karma of the family will merge with the family, and we will receive both individual karmic rewards and family karmic rewards. This also applies to large groups such as nations. The more connected we are to our country, the more we participate in its karma. Citizenship creates a passive karmic connection, while emotional support and active participation form stronger bonds and responsibilities. Karmic Rewards is a complex web of Individual and Collective Rewards influences. Every action, thought and word leaves an indelible mark, determining our destiny and the fate of our society. Recognizing this interconnectedness empowers us to strive for positive change, both personally and collectively. |
