hey all! I can finally talk about the book I wrote this summer! I wrote a fantasy novel entitled Bringer of the Scourge. It's sort of a love letter to classic sword & sorcery and heroic fantasy, Glen Cook, Fritz Leiber, CL Moore, that kind of thing. It's published under an open pseudonym--M. Daniel McDowell. I'm planning to keep the pseud, I've built a little community with it, and honestly I have to say it's been really nice to have an internet persona that is just a writer and not the allsorts bon vivant thing I have been doing for the past several years of freelancing. (I still do the bon vivant freelance thing too) In any case, there's a funny story behind the whole thing but I am too tired to tell it right now. In the meantime! My fantasy debut BRINGER OF THE SCOURGE has been out for about a month and I am reissuing with a new cover! (the original cover--and the pseudonym!--were provided to me gratis by Inkfort Press for their self-publishing derby event, which ended yesterday.) It can be found here: Bringer of the Scourge for nearly every ebook platform there is! I am also on Goodreads as M. Daniel McDowell and if you're on there I would love to connect. Hope everyone is having a great weekend--I hope to be around more soon! |
(the game I wrote this book for starts out totally anonymous with a closed pseud but once the game is over many people will claim the book under their main identity afterward)
and the reason I chose not to do an amazon link is I'm on wide distribution--Amazon is one of about ten platforms where you can get it. many of which are more fiscally advantageous for me.
Thanks Norb!
And Jay, Congratulations for the book!
You can find yourself on the "List of Published Books by WdC Authors " and please, let me know if you want anything else added to it.
