Welcome to my blog: I intend to share heartfelt writing about anything that comes to mind. |
November 3rd prompt write about your favorite character in the Bible. I think my favorite character in the Bible has always been David. For some reason, I have always felt I could relate to him in some way, especially in the Psalms. November 4th prompt Choose 2 scripture verses that you like really well to write about. My favorite is Psalms 37:23-24 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. What an awesome promise! The first scripture I ever learned when I was in kindergarten was Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. November 5th prompt Is it right to say, "No!" when someone ask for help? Why or why not? I struggle with this one personally. I desire to help everyone. It is hard for me to say no. I want to love everyone with the love of Jesus, but I cause myself to feel completely poored out because I need to learn to say no more often. November 7th prompt Do you fear God? Why or why not? The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom. Yes, I fear God in a reverential way. He gave me life and he can take it away. Like a child loves and adores their parent and wants to be just like them, is how I love God. I fear him enough to obey him. I don't want to offend him or hurt him because I love him. When you are in a relationship with anyone, you don't want to hurt or offend them. That can hurt your relationship with them. It is the same with God. I don't ever want him to be so angry at me that he turns his back on me, and that is Biblical. |
I believe in angels. Some people may think I am crazy when I tell them I have seen them more than once in my life. They are messengers and servants of God. There is a scripture where someone was going to worship the angel before them but they told them not to do so because they are fellow servant of God just as the man was. It is a beautiful thing if you ever get the experience to see an angel worship God. It is hard to put into words, but I have seen it. The love and true adoration the angel showed toward God completely changed the way I myself worship him. What a privalage for us to be able to enter into God's presence in praise and prayer. Yes, even while we are here on earth. He is here with us. Sometimes the experience with an angel can be so glorious and overwhelming, you can't even put it into words. However, I can say this. Know that God loves you. His love is overwhelming and overtaking. His love is glorious. His love is amazing and hard to comprehend. Angels are not to be worshipped. Angels are spiritual beings. They are real. They are helpers. They protect us. They watch over us. They are entertained by us. They stand before God daily. These are all the things that pop into my head at the moment. |
prompt As we move into November, Thanksgiving is the next holiday. This holiday is not as controversial to Christians as Halloween. Do you believe a Christian should celebrate Thanksgiving? If you do, how do you plan to celebrate this year? I believe that most of our "holidays" it seems have pagan roots. Yes, even Thanksgiving has pagan roots. If you do the research, you can find that out. I think what matters most is what is on your heart. I think Thanksgiving is a great time to reflect on your blessings and give God praise. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I feel kind of bad for blogging myself for a while, but life got crazy. I am going to try to get better at least on this blog. I should also share my thoughts with you. It is sharing one another's thoughts and examining ourselves that we are able to grow together spiritually. I appreciate your patience and understanding. |
