Baby-boomer with a college-age son who helps to keep me more current. Married to my high school sweetheart, and I haven't killed him yet. A life-long avid reader who always thought how cool it would be to write for a living. A pathetic gadget freak. Acknowledged workaholic and overly anal. Weak on patience. I blame my grandmother who scrubbed her floor with a toothbrush and my mother who ironed all of our sheets. No lie. |
Still working that one out. |
Verbose, detailed, often trite. Plot and dialogue are probably my biggest weaknesses. Good at character development, I think. |
My husband and our son, my dog and my cat, cooking and eating, unboxing shiny new geek toys, education, parenting, and technology of all kinds. |

Brandon Sanderson, Jim Butcher, Robert Heinlein, Philip K. Dick, Robert Ludlum, Agatha Christie, Charles Dickens, and now Patrick Rothfuss, though he over-promises and under-delivers. |
Robert Frost and Emily Dickinson are the only poets whose poems I know well and enjoy, but I haven't read much since school. |
I would fain grow old learning many things. ~Plato |
Little reluctant about rap and hip-hop, but pretty much love all genres. Classic rock is what I listen to most I guess, followed by Jazz. As I get older, I find myself liking Country more and more, which would have appalled my younger self. |
The Sting, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek(2009), The Way We Were, Casablanca, Inception. |
