Second of nine kids, seven adopted, with a huge clan on my mother's side and a long line of only children on my father's. I am working in Hospice/Home-health currently although I am trained as a paralegal. My work week fluctuates, but is usually between 50 and 65 hours a week (good excuse for not writing as much). Needless to say, the most common thing people say upon meeting me is that I am unique. :) |
I write what I want to read; I am in love with the English language as much as any world. |
Situation focused, usually with a lot of attention to natural environment. Plots tend to be complicated, but good triumphs. |
Puzzles. The way the mind works. Clashes of culture. Ancient history. Mechanics. Animal social patterns. BIRDS. MUSCOVY DUCKS. Crochet (has more math than you would think). HERITAGE GEESE (did you know they live between 25-50 years?). |

Fantasy, Sci-fi, action/drama (some)... anything with a good plot and interesting situation or setup. |
Marelon the Magician by Patricia C. Wrede; Oath of Swords by David Weber; The Trail Driving Rooster by Jim Kelgard; One Good Night, The Snow Queen, & Sleeping Beauty by Mercedes Lackey; and the manwas Until Death Do Us Part & The Breaker. |
David Weber, Patricia C. Wrede, Keith Laumer, Mercedes Lackey, Sharon Shinn, and Jennifer Estep. |
The only poem I really remember is (I think) titled Miles to Go, and I don't know who it's by. I ran across it in one of Keith Laumer's Bolo series and have remembered it ever since. |
Hmm. Depends on my mood. Right now, I'm swinging between Electronica/Dubstep (Grabbitz is kinda nice) and Jazz, with occasional dips into popular hits, Rock, and not-so-much Hard Rock as before. |
So many to choose from. The top: Angel & the Badman, Wally, The Quiet Man, Captain America, all the Fast and Furious movies (I like fast cars and mechanical workings), the Riddick trilogy (except for scenes you can't show your sibs), ... |
Hmm. Right now am waiting for new episodes of The Catch and The Blacklist: Redemption (despite not having watched more than the first season of The Blacklist itself). |
