I'm a middle-aged English graduate, avid reader & lifelong writer. Owing to chronic crises of confidence that strike at around 10,000 words, I've never finished anything longer than a novella. My primary goal is to finish writing a novel. My secondary goal is to polish that novel until it's publishable. My tertiary goal is to become published and sell at least 10 copies of my novel to complete strangers. My self-imposed deadline for achieving all of the above is October 2020. |
I predominantly read novels (literary, historical & crime/thrillers/mysteries) so those are the things I also like to write |
I write character-driven books re. how crisis impacts normal folk. Lacking a poet's soul, I avoid rich imagery/purple prose |
