7/15/10 I am excited to say an editor has shown interest in one of my manuscripts, requesting a full and then revisions. 12/02/10 The latest email from this editor, was THE ONE we writers all hope for. I am now living proof that anyone can do it. With no formal training in writing and nothing more than an overactive imagination and a lot of determination, Secrets of the Gentleman Thief, my 'baby', is a success story. You can do it too. http://twitter.com/melissamurphy2 |
I write what I read, light paranormal romance set in the mid-1800's. I've always been fascinated with that era. |
I love to paint, read, write and adore animals. |
My favorite genre to read is historical romance, but I love it when there is a slightly different twist to the traditional. Karen Hawkins' MacLean family series is my favorite. She mixes in a little witchcraft. When you do that, anything can happen! |
Karen Hawkins, Mary Balogh, Liz Carlyle, Adele Ashworth, Rosemary Rogers, Julia Quinn just to name a few. |
"I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world." - Albert Einstein |

Pretty Woman with Julia Roberts and Message in a Bottle with Kevin Costner - oldies but goodies. |
