For me, words are like hundreds of different candies wrapped in beautiful opaque foils, waiting to be picked from a large bowl. I I love combining different candies, such as a piece that tastes like raspberries with a piece that is dark chocolate. This is what I do with words when writing a poem or a story. I pick words I like most and keep combining them with new and different words until I have a line of verse or a sentence for a story. |
