I was an unstoppable writer when I was a kid. As soon as I learned to spell, I started making stories of myth, magic, and discovery. I wrote all through high school, but after that I lost my creative spark, my drive to put words on the page. It seems something stuck with me, though, because one of the last stories I tried to write in high school has haunted me ever since, and grown in my head to an epic tale. I realized that this story is begging to be told, and it turns out that it isn't alone. |
Spontaneous, fiercely self-critical, always wanting my writing to mean something. |
I am a realist, compelled to ground my works in reality; I love characters that are ordinary, but in extraordinary ways. |
Being outdoors, hiking, camping, reading, watching movies. Writing, of course. |
