I have always though writing was interesting, although I rarely "found the time" to do anything about it. My monotonous office job often leaves my artistic side unfulfilled. I once shared my creative impulses by telling elaborate bedtime stories to my young kids. But when they were taken far away in an unfortunate custody battle, the stories became less frequent. I started writing as a coping mechanism. It has since become something more. |
Casual writer. So many hobbies, sometimes writing doesn't happen for months. Although I hope that will change. |
Whatever works for the story. |
I like wood-carving, web design, jewelery-making, origami, cooking, electronic engineering, and computer games. I revolve through each in the span of a year or two, so I am novice at all of them. |
Writing.com, of course! |
Sometimes I get lost on youtube too. |
Fiction. Horror, Science Fiction, Thrillers and Classics |
Top three: Dune (Frank Herbert), Dracula (Bram Stoker), Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (as Lewis Carroll). |
Frank Herbert, Stephen King, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (Lewis Carroll). But I like a lot of Ernest Hemingway too. |
Not really into the poetry scene. |
Classic rock, mostly. If a song is fun or meaningful, the genre is irrelevant to me. However, after all these year I have met very few country songs I liked. |
Krull (1983), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007), The Princess Bride (1987), and Pan's Labyrinth (2006) |
The Big Bang Theory, House, Game of Thrones (although I am getting bored reading A Feast for Crows) |
