I am a 43 year old father of three, a grocery store clerk, and a part-time college student. I am married. I served in the US Navy for six years. I got to go to several countries when I was in the military, including Australia, New Zealand, Spain, and Antarctica. I'm a quiet, introverted guy who expresses himself the best with the written word. |
I like to write fiction, but I would like to try my hand at writing some non-fiction. |
My writing style is very detailed and also dialogue driven. My characters are often inspired by people in my life. |
I also dabble in music and photography. I play the drums and I'd like to learn another instrument. I'm also a sports fan. My favorite sports are baseball and ice hockey. |
My favorite genre is probably non-fiction related subjects like history and sports. I'm starting to read more fiction. |
My favorite books are Band of Brothers and D-Day by Stephen Ambrose, A Day in the Life by Mark Hertsgaard, Animal Farm and 1984 by George Orwell, High Fidelity by Nick Hornby, and Flags of Our Fathers by James Bradley, to name a few. |
Some of my favorite authors include Stephen Ambrose, Nick Hornby, George Orwell, and Michael Lewis. |
I'm not much into reading or writing poetry, but I do appreciate the work of Langston Hughes. |
I think it was Mark Twain who said, "Better for a man to be silent and thought of as a fool than to open his mouth and remove all doubt." |
I have eclectic music tastes. I like classic rock, punk rock, jazz, blues, some R&B, some hip-hop, and classical. Some of my favorites are The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Rush, The Clash, Bruce Springsteen, Bad Religion, Prince, and AC/DC. |
Some of my favorite movies are Clerks, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Saving Private Ryan, Animal House, Apollo 13, That Thing You Do, Swingers, High Fidelity, and anything Star Wars. |
I don't watch much network TV, but some of the shows I watch are The Big Bang Theory, That '70s Show, Burn Notice, and Archer. |
