I started reading at five and fell in love with the written word. By the time I was 10, I was taking my younger brothers into the woods and telling them ghost stories. I was a good story teller, but didn't start out writing fiction. In high school my mom ran a weekly newspaper. I learned to be the reporter, as well as the typesetter. I later freelanced for newspapers, magazines, and a medical journal. I started writing fiction in the 1980s with a children's story. Now it's horror and fantasy. |
Horror, science fiction and fantasy. |
My style lends to character driven stories. The horror stories are more psychological than the blood and guts type. |
