Summary of this Book...
Picking up her mother's old Pack Horse library route, Honey, her daughter, begins to deliver books to the hollers of Appalachia. Honey is looking to prove that she doesn't need anyone telling her how to survive. But the route can be treacherous, and some people aren't as keen to let a woman pave their own way. If honey wants to bring the freedom of books provide to the families who need it most, she's going to have to fight for her place, and along the way, learn that the extraordinary woman who run the hills and holler can make all the difference in the world and fight racism in the progress.
This type of Book is good for...
All those who love historical fiction.
I especially liked...
The part where Honey fights the racism and her emancipation in the Kentucky hills of the 70s.
I didn't like...
There was not a part I did not like.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Hope for a third sequel to this story.
The author of this Book...
Kim Michele Richardson
I recommend this Book because...
It is full of symbolism and the fight against racism.
