Summary of this Book...
I absolutely loved this book! It is another D.D. Warren and Bobby Dodge book (I think the second in the series), and I just tore through the pages. These characters are great, and together they form a wonderful team. Not your usual team who get along well and agree with everything the other thinks. Rather, they bicker, there are things about them that they can’t stand. And they aren’t always sure the other is right. But, when it comes down to it, they work together, and they do it well. In this book, Annabelle Granger has spent her life since she was seven years old constantly moving house. Her father has kept packing up their belongings and moving the family and giving them new identities. She never knew why. Now, she is twenty-seven and she sees that an underground chamber has been uncovered in the grounds of the old Boston Mental Hospital with the bodies of six young girls encased in it. One of the girls is wearing a necklace with the name ‘Annabelle Granger’ on it. It is the necklace Annabelle gave to her seven-year-old best friend Dori Petracelli before she disappeared twenty years ago. Does this mean Dori was killed by mistake? Because the killer thought she was Annabelle? The story is a race to find out who killed the girls. The killer starts to stalk Annabelle again, and her life is in peril. I have to give a shout-out to her beautiful, brave dog Bella. She is fab. This story is so exciting. Real edge-of-your seat stuff. Especially the climax of the story. That was just brilliant! My favourite Lisa Gardner so far!
This type of Book is good for...
People who love psychological thrillers. Those who like tight, suspenseful stories with characters they really care about. (Though, for me, the character I cared most about was the dog.)

This is the plot summary from Amazon: "You have good reason to be afraid. . . . It was a case that haunts Bobby Dodge to this day—the case that nearly killed him and changed his life forever. Now, in an underground chamber on the grounds of an abandoned Massachusetts mental hospital, the gruesome discovery of six mummified corpses resurrects his worst nightmare: the return of a killer he thought dead and buried. There’s no place to run. . . . Bobby’s only lead is wrapped around a dead woman’s neck. Annabelle Granger has been in hiding for as long as she can remember. Her childhood was a blur of new cities and assumed identities. But what—or who—her family was running from, she never knew. Now a body is unearthed from a grave, wearing a necklace bearing Annabelle’s name, and the danger is too close to escape. This time, she’s not going to run. You know he will find you. . . . The new threat could be the dead psychopath’s copycat, his protégé—or something far more terrifying. Dodge knows the only way to find him is to solve the mystery of Annabelle Granger, and to do that he must team up with his former lover, partner, and friend D. D. Warren from the Boston P.D. But the trail leads back to a woman from Bobby’s past who may be every bit as dangerous as the new killer—a beautiful survivor-turned-avenger with an eerie link to Annabelle. From its tense opening pages to its shocking climax, Hide is a thriller that delves into our deepest, darkest fears. Where there is no one to trust. Where there is no place left to hide."
